When your child is not feeling well

We are always concerned about the health and happiness of your child. In order to protect all children at Zadie’s, we reserve the right to determine when a child is too ill to be in our care. If you feel that your child is not well, we appreciate your decision to keep him/her home, especially if they have an illness that may be contagious. If your child becomes ill while under our care and we determine that he or she should not remain in contact with other children, you will be notified immediately.

If your child has any of the following symptoms, we suggest at-home care for at least 24 hours:

Fever higher than 101°
Combination of diarrhea and vomiting
Unidentifiable rash – Please provide a doctor’s note upon return to Zadie’s

Conjunctivitis – Redness or discharge from one or both eyes. Administer medication for at least 24 hours before returning to Zadie’s.
Sinus infection – Yellow/green discharge from the nose is a sign of infection
Head lice – All nits must be removed before returning to Zadie’s
Sore throat
