About Us - Curriculum
Zadie Nurturing Den's well-rounded, academically focused curriculum is designed to build solid foundations during a child's formative years.
From infancy, we introduce our children to music, poems, stories, colors, numbers. letters and shapes. We repeatedly familiarize them with exercises and activities that will enhance gross and fine motor skills (i.e. hand-eye coordiantion, rolling, crawling and walking).
The Toddler I, II, and III core curriculum builds on concepts taught during infancy but with an increased focus on expanding their developing vocabulary and motor skills.
The Transition I and II curricula is a continuation of the Toddler level instruction but also introduces pottty training exercises, handwriting and has an increased focus on developing positive social skills.
After successful mastery of the Infant, Toddler and Transition curriculum, our children matriculate into our Pre-school program. Children in Pre-school I and II continue working on alphabets and numbers with an amplified focus on writing, counting, addition, subtraction and phonetics.
Nonetheless, during Pre-Kindergarten everything a child has learned so far, is put together and now we are ready to teach them to read. As a result, 8 out of every 10 Pre-Kindergarten students will be reading before they enter Kindergarten, with some of them reading on a first grade level.
Zadie's Nurturing Den's Kindergarten program, which has started in September of 2002 is an individualized program designed around the needs of each student. However, the goal is to improve their Reading, Writing and Mathematics abilities, while introducing Geography, Science, and Art on a more in-depth level.
